Ooh, and it makes me wonder

I think I mentioned the music they play at the steakhouse I work at before. It's kind of kitschy outback stuff, like "Tie Me Kangaroo Down, Sport" and "Home Among the Gum Trees" (those particular songs make up the diner-participation aspect of your dining experience.) But there is a true gem on the CD.

There is an outback/bush/folk version of the Led Zeppelin classic "Stairway to Heaven." Complete with wobble-boards.

It always puts a smile on my face.

A wobble board is the anscestor to the weeble, which is why a weeble wobbles and won't fall down. Now stay with me, here is where it get tricky. Weebles are actually made from wobble boards, which is a little know fact outside of the manufacturing world. Cathy, also this accounts for the fact that wobble boards are difficult to find as you can imagine. Weebles became the export leader of Australia, creating thousands of jobs. Just think it began with a single wobble board.

I like to sing "Tie Me Kangaroo Down, Sport," to Apollo sometimes. He's always mezmerized. I can't tell if it's because he really likes and/or fears wallabies and kangaroos, or if it's just that I'm really loud.
